Mike Pilon is the Vice-President of EHK Sports Enterprises. Mike completed five seasons of Junior hockey in Canada before playing two years of collegiate lacrosse in Canada which culminated in back to back National Championships. Mike is a graduate of Brock University (St. Catharines, Ontario), where he graduated with an Honors Degree in Physical Education, with a minor in Human Geography.
Upon graduation, Mike embarked on his professional coaching career, working first in the State of Wyoming as an Assistant Coach with the Central Wyoming Outlaws Junior “A” Hockey Club, before becoming Hockey Director for the Casper Amateur Hockey Club, then Coaching Coordinator for the State of Wyoming. During his five-year tenure in Wyoming, Mike also worked for as a regional scout for the US National Team Development Program; directed Wyoming’s elite hockey program – Team Wyoming; and initiated the State’s inaugural Player Development Program.
Mike’s next stop was the Chicago Freeze of the North American Junior “A” Hockey League, where he was an Assistant Coach for four years. During his first season he attained his Master Level Coach from USA Hockey, and over four seasons with the Freeze promoted over sixty players to the NCAA ranks along with coaching four NHL draft picks. It was during this time that Mike forged an extensive network of solid relationships within the sport.
Mike most recent endeavor was acting as General Manager of Huron Hockey Schools, one of North America’s oldest and most respected hockey instructional companies. Mike assumed the title of Vice-President of EHK Sports after a multi-year affiliation with the company and Mr. Krupka. As Vice-President of EHK Sports, Mike’s main tasks will be in guiding the company’s rapidly expanding successful sport ventures. Mike shares Mr. Krupka’s vision of a company committed to providing unparalleled, quality opportunities to the aspiring athlete. Mike currently resides in Ottawa, Ontario, with his wife Debbie, daughter McKenzie, and a new addition expected to arrive sometime in late July of 2005.
